Found this review of the SB59/v from Germany, presented by Henning Pauly. He comes across as a slightly unhinged nerd but in fact is an extravagantly gifted graduate of Berklee Music College in Boston (emulating Eastman's owner Qian Ni) graduating with a dual major in "Contemporary Writing and Production" and "Music Synthesis" with summa-cum-laude.

I have two gits that are factory wired for "stereo". When I got the first one ten years ago or so I initially played around with it but was generally unimpressed. Whether it was faulty wiring or poorly selected amps, I don't know.

Recently I took my ES-345 and Lucille out and had a go at stereo once again. This time I used my Polytone amp which has separate channels with separate EQ for each channel. This means that I can put the neck pup on one channel, the bridge pup on the other with separate EQ or / and a pedal.

Alternately I can send either pup to a second amp. 

WOW, you have no idea how cool this sounds! Imagine... your neck pup to an amp on one side of the stage / room set to a mellow jazzy sound, and the bridge pup to the other side of the stage /  room  with another totally different EQ simultaneously. The pup selector on the git can also be switched to shut one amp / pup off or a "ping pong" effect.... left, both, right, both, left.

Anyone else using a stereo rig?

I am amazed at the number of new for 2019 Slope Shoulder Guitars.
I thought I could start a thread so we can share information and opinions on these new ones.
Every company seems to have a new one. My biggest interest is how the Eastman e1ss will compare to the Taylor Grand Pacific with similar specs. The Martin DSS-17 would be interesting as well.
Appreciate any thoughts guys. Should be fun comparing them once they all get in circulation.

Waverlys and Schaller GrandTunes are excellent tuners, these are better.  Smooth 21:1, no play, precise with no stick, on & on... and great looking selection available.  One might search eBay for Gotoh 510.

This set was designed to replace Rotomatics, my Taylor GA5 had clunky, PIng made rotos.

First thing I did when I got the E20OM-tc was replace the Pings with a set of GrandTunes I had taken off my CFM 000-18 before I sold.  GrandTunes are excellent but these are better... same for any other brand out there.  .02c  bert

Just looking to buy my first acoustic guitar and have been recommended the Eastman e1-om. It has two options, a natural finish and a limited edition classic finish.
I am unable to visit the shop to see both, just wondered if anybody had options on how the limited edition classic finish looks and whether it is better to go for the limited edition. It is so hard to see what they look like on webpages. My mind says it might be safer to go for the natural but I may well kick myself if the classic one is stunning and its also limited edition. Would really value any help or opinions. I am just starting to learn again after learning a little classical at school 35 years ago. Really like the idea of the Eastman which will be far far more capable than me but hopefully I wont want to upgrade for a long time!

Eastman is so much more than guitars.  Some of the finest orchestral string, wind and other instruments are the origin of Eastman.  Any wonder why the first guitars were archtops, there are no similar pacrim guitar builders.

Improvising some slow blues on my Eastman T486. I just love the dynamics, tone and feel of this guitar. What a fun guitar

Today I ordered a new E20 OM TC.
It'll be on approval - I've bought a guitar from this shop before so I can check it out and return it if not happy.
Not that I expect that to happen.
Assuming I do keep it, a Martin 000-28 will be moving in the opposite direction.
This is all down to a journey that began a couple of years ago, when I heard people talking at a workshop about 12 fret guitars. I filed that way for future reference.
A few months ago, I mulled that over and had a look around.  Having liked the sound of a Taylor 322 12 fret, but being a bit worried about a review that said it was better for strumming (I'm a finger picker), I settled on an E10 OO-M.
I was taken aback by how good it is.  The neck and fretboard really are something.  My guitar teacher reckoned I played 20% better on the Eastman than on the Martin - and that I needed to because the Eastman's intonation was better and it needed to be played more accurately.
The E10 became my go-to guitar over the Martin and a Taylor 512, despite me having bought it as an alternative for certain pieces that needed that mahogany narrow depth and warmth.
And that led to the thought of trading in one rosewood and spruce guitar for another.
I did consider an E40 OM, but was worried that the appointments were a bit more 'out there' than I'm comfortable with.  The shop assured me that the E20's tone was just as good.
My residual worry is that a 12 fret just plays better than a 14 fret (my E10 is the only 12 fret steel-string I've played).
So in about 7-10 days, once it's been set up and shipped, I'll find out what I think.
And then it's down to some recording (so I'm hoping the TC means that it won't need to played in too much).
