Hi all,

I recently bought an Eastman SB59, and I was quite surprised to find that the serial number is not on the back of the headstock where you might expect it to be, but is simply printed onto a sticker on the back of the cover over the electronics on the back of the guitar. 

Why did they do this? It would be such a simple matter to fake a serial number by copying the sticker and then moving it onto some cheap chibson.

Not my usual area of interest - but out of curiosity has anyone tried out the new Fender Acoustatronic? I am not in the market for anything of this sort but it does look interesting.

Traded my Taylor GA5 today for a Furch OM-SW,  win-win for both parties.

Made in the Czech Republic, one of Furch's Blue Series guitars with open pore lacquer, full scale, 1.75nut, etc.  Orig buyer had it two days... didn't get along and offered it in trade.... it's 99.99% new.

It’s not that I have to have them with the T486B arriving next week, but it would be interesting to see. All my other guitars I have been able to tack down factory specs, specifically things like relief.

Are Eastman specs available somewhere?

Yup, just ordered my first Eastman, T486B.

I’ve been playing guitar since, well, about when the earth cooled. Crazy thing is I still suck at it but I have fun. I’ve had a bunch of guitars over the years and currently have a few, Fenders, Takamine, Epi and Gretschs.

I’m looking forward to getting the Eastman, I have a soft spot for 335 style guitars. I had a Gibson es335 and it was terrible build quality and I never bonded with the neck.

Has anyone upgraded the Ping tuners on their Eastman acoustics with Waverlys? My Ping tuners are very stiff and difficult to turn. I’m sure they could be smoothed out but I also like the look and quality of the Waverlys. If you’ve done this before was it an exact fit or did you have to use conversion bushings and a reamer? I’m thinking of doing this upgrade on my E10D-TC.

As someone  who has never been much interested in social media sites apart from this one (and consequently know next to nothing about them), could somebody wise me up on the implications of signing up for the Eastman Face Book site? If I open an account there, does this limit me exclusively to that site and its participants. I am not much interested in interacting with none Eastman F B users or matters not related primarily to Eastman guitars.

Taylor Mullins with Holter Pickguards made this guard. He does great work and is easy to work with.

Hello all,

I'm thinking of buying an AR372CE.I'm curious if the 2019 models have any substantive changes than older models. By this I mean electronics hardware, pots, wiring, wood etc. I see that there is more variety in the finish department but wondering about other stuff.
