E10D vs E10D-TC question

Since I won’t be able to try either of these before buying what is the consensus between the two? I’ve never heard a tc model in person just videos what’s everyone’s opinion vs non tc. Thanks.

What should one expect to pay for a new E10D or a E10D-TC? Thanks.

I have an Eastman AR371, which I like but don't play much :-

It might contribute to the excellent sound, but the floating bridge a bit of a pain.

E6SS-TC with some tasteful upgrades $1100

Well now I've done it. I just bought a Walker Wise River and have to figure out how to re-coup some funds. Time to make some tough decisions. I picked this up from TAS last August. It was the best of the three I played that day - at least to my ears. TAS installed a K&K. The guitar is in near mint condition. I changed out the tuners to Gotohs with white buttons and the bridge pins to bone with abalone inlay. I think the white buttons, pins and trim work well together. Also has a Holter pickguard. There is a strap button on the heel. The armrest can be removed without marring the top. I can send additional pics after removal if it is not wanted. Let me know if you want some different pics.

$1100 includes standard ground shipping. I would prefer PayPal F&F. I thought I would post it here before trying CL locally. Let me know if you have any questions.

  Howdy, new Eastman owner
Posted by: John A - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (11)

Hi folks i just acquired my first Eastman, an ac308ce-ltd that I picked up used (in new condition). So far, I’m loving it. I’ve been playing for more years than I care to admit to, mainly jazz of late, but generally a bit of everything. I’d had Gibson Blue Ridge for ages, but sold that a couple of years ago to fund an archtop purchase.

I have a Gitane Gypsy jazz guitar and Recording King Dirty 30s, but neither really scratched the acoustic itch for me so I decided to pick up something a little nicer. Stumbled onto this Eastman for decent price and here we are. Spec-wise it’s perfect for me and the playability and sound are fantastic. I’ve played lots of other Eastmans, and have liked most, but for whatever reasons never pulled the trigger on one before. Glad I finally did.

Anyway, howdy, and if anyone has one of these I’d be curious to hear how yours is holding up.

  Help me decide - E2D

I'm about to pull the trigger on an E2D, and can't decide which back set I like the most. What do you guys think? Guitar 1, 2 or 3?

For some reason Guitar 3 didn't show up as a poll option, but would still like to hear your thoughts on that one as well. Appreciate it!

  OM replacement pickguard
Posted by: Steve Yarbrough - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (5)

I have an E20 OM, and I love everything about the guitar except the pickguard. It’s so dark that it looks like one of those black pickguards Martin used in the 70s and 80s. Can anyone tell me where to find the right size replacement? Also, how hard is it to remove the original? Any advice would be appreciated.

thanks, Steve

  OM necks
Posted by: Ralphy - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (6)

Currently I have only one acoustic a Cort I got about 12 years ago.  Dreadnought sitka top and solid hog sides and back.  It sounds great, but I am now a little old man and it feels like i am holding a mattress.   Plus I am attempting to learn fingerstyle.  Hence the search.

I recently got to play some Eastman acoustics,  they were beautiful.  Unfortunately, I can't report much on the sound as it was Saturday afternoon in a store in Mesa AZ and the place was packed, even the high end acoustic room.  However, I liked what I did hear and see.  Now the problem ,they were AC something or other, one was about $1000 and the other about 1500.  My problem with them was the neck, both seemed really thick and both had a high gloss finish, so both were sticky.   I really like shiny but prefer satin necks and short scales.

Looking at the specs on the Eastman site it looks like all of them have the same neck "traditional even C".  Can any of you shed some light on this, do the E OM models have satin or gloss.  The AC's were great and I like cutaways, too bad.
My other search to find and play is a Yamaha FS3 or 5 Red Label.  Any thoughts on those would be appreciated also.

Thanks
