hello - I just bought a new Eastman E3OME. I just started playing out again, and I had sold most of my guitars, except a couple of keepers that don't leave the house. It had all the specs i was looking for, an OM/000 body, short scale, 1-3/4" nut, all solid wood etc etc. I bought it online so I hadn't played it prior to receiving it two weeks ago. It is really nice, the workmanship is quite impressive. And... most importantly, it just sings. I use a TC Helicon Bodyrez and it sounded great at a gig this weekend. I've been reading a lot of threads on here about serial numbers, True Tone vs. nitro finish and tc tops amongst other stuff that really doesn't mean much to me, it already checks all the boxes. Like i said i just got it, but it came with a CoA that has no date, but a serial number of M214xxxx. i thought i'd read that this model came out in 2021, so did i get NOS? Once again, I'm quite happy with the guitar, just wondering if the retailer had held on to it for 2 years? Anything else I should know about this model from those who know much more than I do about Eastman guitars?

I bought an Eastman E20D last week. I’ve already got an E20OM and an Eastman mandola, both of which I hold in high regard. I acquired the E20D to leave at our apartment in Kraków, where we plan to start spending half of each year. But after playing it for five days, I realized that I am going to have a hard time leaving it behind. I can hardly believe that an instrument this fine can be had for 1639 dollars.

I thought it would be interesting to A and B it against a Martin. Most of mine are vintage dreadnoughts; the closest I have to a new one is a CS-21-11. Here’s a quick clip of the two back to back, beginning with the Martin. I’d love to hear people’s impressions. Btw, the Martin is strung with a fresh set of Pearse PB Bluegrass Gauge strings, whereas the Eastman still has the light gauge set it was shipped with.

My first Eastman mandolin was probably a 2018 MD305 A style f hole. I sold that instrument after about 6 months. I was wanting one with less brightness. 

Not knowing anything then and little know I've been thinking about the MD 304 A Style Oval hole. I'd never want an F style for in my subjective mind the looks of an F style seems to be too much associated with primarily the bluegrass genre, nothing against bluegrass but I'd want a mandolin that would cover any genre of music with a mellower tone, fuller sound and not as bright as my original mandolin. 

From the post I've seen here it looks like there's few if any Eastman mandolin owners/players here. There are a few Eastman owners at Mandolin Cafe but I've sort of parted ways with the forum there over the years. 

It would be nice to hear some opinions tonally on specifically the Eastman MD304 A style oval hole as I'm pretty sure the A style oval hole gives a fuller, less bright tone than a F style F hole 

I'm in no way concerned about loudness of guitars or mandolins as I'm never involved in volume competitions playing by myself at home on the couch or porch.

I was looking at the E2 Models Question thread and Charlie mentioned looking for a mandolin, and the post below it features an all Sapele guitar. This got me thinking - has anyone come across an Eastman (or for that matter any maker) all Sapele mandolin?

Over the last couple of weeks I have been considering and searching for a used E2OM which has expanded to possibly a E2D or even an AC122-2ce. During my search I've noticed many Higher end Eastman's being sold ranging from the 6 series and including the 20 series. Is it possible or even probable that the Cedar top solidwood entry series is the BEST bang for your Buck Eastman (or just plain Acoustic) available?  I'm beginning to think so and I'm starting to resign myself to believing I'm going to end up buying New if I want one!

I'm from Asia and only been learning guitar for few years at my mid 40's . . I just bought a ac622ce last week. I had a hard time of choosing between ac622 and ac422/822. I wish I find this place earlier so I can made my decision easier.
anyway the guitar arrived, it sound amazing while it's my first guitar which considered to be pretty expensive for me, but seems all are worth.

Just took my guitar to go for some advance setup so in long term I think it will be easier for me to play all kind of finger styling.

I really enjoyed reading all the post here and really lots of good info about the guitar. Thanks all

I finally pulled the trigger after 1000 You Tube reviews, LOL. I must admit, at 1st I wasn't sure if this was the axe I was dreaming of, but after setting amps/petals up to match the guitar - it is! This is truly a great instrument which produces beautiful sustain, tones and amazing neck feel. Is this what a real 59 sounds and plays like? Doesn't matter, this one works.  I have several LPs from various years but this Eastman is at the top. That said, I cannot stress enough, amp/pedal adjustments are way different than any LP (that I own anyway) to make this guitar shine. Guitar loves Marshall or Marshall style amps.

Hey EGF... is anyone here a fingerstyle player that owns an Eastman OO with 1-13/16 neck?  I've never played that model, but as a fingerstyle guy, I wonder if I would like it - especially the slightly wider neck. 

Would love some thoughts/feedback from anyone who owns this model.

I've seen several post lately covering the E2D models. Everyone really likes theirs. My only experience with the E2 model was an E2OM that I bought new in 2018 best I can remember. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with the older (2018 or so) E2 models and/or the E2D vs E2OM.

I can't remember the woods used in my 2018 E2OM model. I have checked out specs on the new E2OM builds with cedar tops. I have no idea what the new builds tonal qualities in cedar, playability or body size would or would not have over my 2018 model. 

I wasn't enamored much at all with my 2018 E2OM and quickly sold it. I see all the post of lately is related to the D size. In my case I have no need for anything larger than the OM. My original E2 purchase makes me very reluctant to purchase another E2 model unless there is a good improvement in tone and playability in the newer models vs 2018 model.

I don't have 1 negative thing to say about my E10 OM
