I am having some trouble getting my E60M to sound in tune. I have other guitars that I can slap a tuner on and they sound great. My Eastman has to be tweaked mostly on the B and E strings and sometimes the G string. But it never sounds quite in tune. When I strum on the guitar, the blend of the strings seems a bit off. There is a quaver in the chord that does not sound quite right. I plan on taking it to the luthier to have it checked out, but was wondering if anyone here has had a similar issue? I don’t think I’m crazy because I have two other guitars that don’t have this issue at all. Any ideas?

Hi there. I bought a t386 with the stock Kent Armstrong HPAN 1 Pickups. Does anyone have some information about the pickups? Magnet type, resistance etc.
Its pretty hard to find something about them. Does anyone maybe changed the magnets on them? I am thinking about swaping them. Not the biggest fan of the sound. Pretty harsh on the bridge and muddy on the neck for my taste..

Hey there, first post so please be gentle. I’m picking up a used T64v tomorrow morning (very excited) but it doesn’t have a pickguard which I feel like I need as I’m used to one on my 335. Anyone know where I can buy one or where I might be able to get a template so I can have one made please?

Three of my four Eastman guitars came with the same problem, strings binding at the nut. All the nuts look identical and are polished like they came from the factory. The fourth one appeared worked on by the previous owner so I can't really say it had the same problem. The three guitars had just a slight ramp front to back with no relief for the D and G strings so one guitar would ping and jump from flat to sharp with no happy middle ground. The others didn't ping but would stay flat even after turning the tuning knob. If I then pressed the string between nut and tuning post it would suddenly go sharp. Turn the knob back down and it would stay sharp until I pulled on the string between nut and bridge. I am running 12's on all guitars so the problem would not be the gauge of string. Hopefully this is something that has been addressed in the period since my guitars (all purchased used) were built. If not, maybe the collaboration between Dana Bourgeois and Eastman will resolve it.

I know that I've previously posted about my 2017 E20OM-SB with the back that looks different than any other EIR guitar I've owned.  Over the holidays, I came across a listing for a new E20OM-MR-TC, whose back wood looked very similar to my E20OM-SB, which was spec'd as EIR (but suspected to be Madi).

 Looks like it's going to be another exciting year at Eastman so I wanted to share some of the latest.
 For starters, while Mandolin and electric guitars will see a modest 5% increase starting at the end of January, all acoustic prices will remain the same for 2023 which is good news. If you've been eyeing an electric or Mando than it may be time to make the move.

 E10, E20, E40 series will only be available in Thermo-Cure series going forward but Eastman will complete all back orders of non TC models so you will have some time to grab a non TC model if that is your preference.

 For 2023 the Antique Varnish series will only be available in very limited numbers and most models will be replaced by the all new “Truetone Vintage Gloss Series” a finish just created that looks and feels  similar to the varnish, but without the Antiquing. Same Boutique quality Aged Parts (Lollar, Seymour Duncan antiquity, Gotoh relic hardware), and most importantly, same pricing as the 2022 Antique varnish pricing. If you want one of the varnish guitars with the relic'd look than now is the time to move on that.

 New models for 2023 include, but are not limited to black top versions of the AC122-2CE, E2OM and E2D, ACTG1 classic, and a sunburst AC622CE.

Just got an email from the Mandolin Store with a heads up saying that as of Feb 1 there will be a price increase from Eastman across the board. So if you're looking to get a new Eastie, now's the time before they go up like everything else is.

So, started my thread asking about PCHs, because I need more than one acoustic now that I'm in 2 acoustic projects - gotta have a backup! Was already rearranging my toy budget and considering going a wee bit higher when @SasquatchLife mentioned a visit to the acoustic shop, and said that while the PCH he played was good, the all solids were noticeable better. Back down the youtube rabbit hole I went, and considered everything from the PCH up to an E10D....

Decided I needed a consult - and much kudos to John Chapman at The Acoustic Shoppe for offering virtual consults. Met with him today, and he happily put up with my questions and played a handful of glorious Eastmans for me. The E3DE sounded great, the E3OME sounded fantastic (and he commented that it was one of the most responsive Eastman OMs they had gotten in, so if anyone is looking for an OM you could grab that one because I didn't), the AC122CE sounded so good...but the winner for me was the AC222CE to complement my 322.
