Warm up my E2D? Strings?
Posted by: ThemisSal - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (5)

Howdy…

I’ve had Elixir PBs on my E2D since I got her.

what would make the guitar be less bright? I’m surprised by its volume, and by its brightness given the cedar top…

string advice?

$1500 Eastman DT30OM For Sale ***SOLD***
Posted by: roycarver2706 - Forum: For Sale / Trade and Online Deals - Replies (2)

I am selling my DT30OM acoustic which was purchased just a few short months ago.  I believed that I would keep this for the long haul but acquired a E40OM-TC recently at a great price and they are too similar sounding for me to justify keeping both.  Serial number is from 2019.  Guitar did not come with certificate.  Comes with case and shipping to the CONUS is included in price.  I am open to offers.  Although I haven't been a member on here very long, you can check out RoyCarverTN on Ebay or check me out on Reverb to see that I am an honest seller.  Guitar is in excellent shape except for a nick on the back of the neck as shown in pictures.  I don't even remember if I noticed it when I first got it because it is barely noticeable when playing the neck.  Guitar plays beautifully and if it wasn't for the E40, I would be keeping this as my main high-end OM guitar.
If anyone needs anymore pics let me know and will send them your way.

$1500 includes shipping

Thermo-cured Tops on non -TC Models
Posted by: roycarver2706 - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (19)

I’ve been perusing around some Eastman seller sites and noticed that there are examples of some lower end (new) models with Sitka tops that are pretty dark. I think John at The Acoustic Shoppe mentioned that Eastman was putting TC tops on non TC models. If this is true, can you assume the darker (new) tops may have the TC tops? Is there a way to know for sure? Also , have they used any TC tops on color stained models?

  New with my T64v
Posted by: Room135 - Forum: Introductions and EGF Annoucements - Replies (12)

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum. I started my story with Eastman in 2015 with a T386, I have many gigs and jams with it but I had an impossible problem with the neck and I sold it. It was a good guitar. (I have a lot of guitar at home). I bought myself an Epiphone Casino and that convinced me that this guitar format was ideal for me (size 16, Dog ear P90, and lightness). But the Epiphone MICs are well made but not with good quality woods. So I was looking for a high-end 330. And I tried a T64v, a Casino US, and a Gibson 330. The quality of the T64 surprised me and I fell in love with its neck. I left the store with the T64v Red Eastman. I haven't changed the strings yet, usually I play with flat wounds. I have the Lollar pickups, the guitar is from 2022. The Lollar sounds are really excellent but I also have a pair of SD Antiquity in my Epiphone Casino, I want to try the Antiquity to find out what the pickups are which I prefer on the T64v. Well, I've already said a lot of things. I am happy to join the Eastman community again. And finally I would say that the T64 is really a very good version of the ES 330/Casino.

  Selling to buy
Posted by: Charlieb - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (9)

Since I stopped playing out I've sold a few guitars to buy other instruments. It just comes to a point to where I sell some instruments that I seldom play. I have a tele and 335 I have no intention of ever selling.

Not so much a tight wad lol but I've been thinking about trying to sell my Eastman AR372 CE that I seldom play now and get an Eastman mandolin. I like Eastman instruments

Anyone else sell to buy or just buy and buy and buy

Eastman E20D MR TC - Seeking Owner Comments
Posted by: Richard Hauser - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (2)

I own an Eastman E10 TC and an Eastman Electric guitar.  I made a deposit on the Eastman E20 MR TC and have been waiting months for its delivery.  I would appreciate reading comments from guitarists who own this guitar.  I am very satisifed with my E10D TC, but I think the E20D MR TC be better for playing rhythm.  It might also have a "sweeter" sound that would work better for some tunes.  At the present time, about all I do with the E10D is flatpick a lot of fiddle tunes.  This guitar gets 2 to 4 hours playing time just about every day.

One more thing.  If you own an Eastman E10D or E10D TC I wouold appreciate reading any comments you might have about strings.  I am currently using DAddario strings.  I think the guitar would sound a little better with strings that are a little heavier the standard light gauge strings.

  It is finally here!!!
Posted by: Singularity - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (17)

Thanks everyone who gave their input in my first post a month or so ago. It makes me very happy to share the pictures of this absolute stunner with you. My first ever guitar and I couldn’t have done better!

PS - I wanted to do a post earlier as did receive the guitar about 3.5 weeks ago but unfortunately tore my cartilage in my knee so have been all over the place and in recovery.

Cheers!

EDIT — Model AC722CE (Dakota Fade). Added pictures using the upload image feature.

Om vs OOO. A matter of tension only?
Posted by: Gustavo Eiriz - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (16)

Hi my question is can I make my guitar E40om-tc which is 25.4 long scale to sound like an OOO? Is it only a matter of tension? Would turn down the guitar proportionally be enough?
Thanks..
