I’ve often wondered if anyone from Eastman watches this forum?

If they are...any plans to make an “S” style model?
When you do, I’ll be one of the first in line to buy.

I ordered this guitar about 1 month ago and I posted it then but I didn't have photos. I wanted to wait until I could do a couple of simple enhancements to the appearance. So, here are the photos. I took off the standard pick guard and replaced it with a custom pick guard, added a Jockomo Inlay sticker to the headstock, and replaced the stock strings with Ernie Ball Aluminum Bronze Light (11-52) strings. I know that some folks don't like the stickers but I think this one adds a nice accent.

What's really great about this guitar is THE SOUND! It really sounds like an all-solid-wood OM! IMHO, this guitar's sound is VERY CLOSE in quality to my E8OM or my E10OM and the tone is right between the two. It will make a wonderful travel and campfire guitar. Looks great, plays great, sounds great, what more could anyone want?

Just picked this up. Wow! What a nice guitar. I’ve had a couple of older AC range guitars but the new Eastman offerings are really something. I bought it for my “take anywhere “ guitar but it could easily be my number 1

For the past year I've been intrigued by Maple guitars. To my ear they have the warmth of Mahogany with a little bite. Much like dark chocolate made with a touch of chili. So when the Acoustic Shoppe received a special run which included some Maple laminate dreadnoughts I had to check them out.
Not expecting a lot at the $399.00 price point, I stopped by the Shoppe. Masked up and fully sanitized I checked these out. First of all the Maple is beautiful. The top is listed as Stika but the tight grain and creamy color reminds me of Engleman. The fit and finish is very well done. The Rosewood for both the finger board and bridge are much darker than that used by some of the domestic companies. Bone nut and saddle, full comfortable C neck. Setup is spot on.
How do they play and sound? They punch well above the price point.
Since the Acoustic Shoppe is taking customer and employee safety very seriously, I didn't want to grab and play the Maple against the Koa or Cocobola. They are cleaning each instrument after a customer plays it. Fortunately the very talented Trent who was working that day was gracious enough to play them and let me hear the difference from the front side. That young man is good!
I did change the plastic pins to Ebony only because I don't like plastic. That had no discernable change to tone or volume, but every guitar is unique.
My wife came in the living room to check out the new guitar. She was amazed at the tone of this new acquisition and couldn't believe it was not a solid wood guitar as well as the price. She checked out all the beautiful figuring in the back, sides, and neck. It received the seal of approval.
Currently I'm waiting for the "new string zing" to wear off. In the meantime this little budget friendly guitar is getting a workout.
If you're looking for something that won't break the bank but can more than hold its own, put the PCH 3 on your short list.

I bought a mint used Eastman E10ooss.  Very nice condition. 

Nice tone,  look,  quality etc. but the action is a tad high.  I did notice this when I was checkin out the guitar but seemed ok or able to be dealt with.   I had just lowered a saddle for the first time on another guitar so I wasn't too concerned.  What I didn't notice was how the saddle was shaped.  This is hindsight.  I just passed over not really knowing what to look for in my zeal to acquire a new guitar.  I've heard all the good about E guitars and I was looking for something different/new.  Seemed ok to me.

Anyway...... 

As you E-fans know already,  the saddle is sloped on the ends to follow the bridge slope.  It is sanded flush - factory perfect.

how do I lower it or have it lowered with out it going below the bridge?   Doesn't seem possible unless a new one is put in and shaped or the top gets lowered/sanded.  Am I right?   

Also is it glued in?

My other guitar (carbon fiber travel guitar): I just removed the neck, pulled out the saddle and sanded it down a little - easy peasy.  That was my first try.  I'm guessing they all aren't that easy.

I'm not afraid to do stuff but this might be beyond on my skill level.

I've been looking for pictures of the T64 online all the time, haven't pulled the trigger, because I want to play one before I buy (an my local guitar store hasn't had a T64 in yet, just some archtop models).
While looking at pics of the T64, I noticed that on recent ones, the bridge pickups seems to sit closer to the bridge (like on an ES330 - in most reviews, it was pointed out that the bridge PU of the Eastman has a fuller sound due to the extra distance, compared to an  ES330...)
Did anyone else notice this?

Hello,
not having good results intonating my eastman archtop? Was told about Sadowsky compensated bridges but Roger said he no longer sells them.  Anyone have one to sell  (for wound G  using Thomastiks)?

The build quality on the guitar is so good that Im a little surprised the bridges dont really tune up? Any advice?

I wasn't really looking, but an E10P showed up used on Reverb and it was just too good of a price to pass up, since I really wanted one of those at some point.  Not sure of the year because the card just has the serial number there... kinda dopey.  It has the older style decal and no guard, and he said he'd owned for 3 years.  The guy was super nice and only selling because his wife bought him a Waterloo parlor.

Funny (now funny) delivery story: It was supposed to be yesterday, and I was working in my office and saw them pull up.  I got all excited, only to watch them root around in the back of the truck and then pull away.  I'm sure the look on my face had to have been hilarious.  Pretty sure I let out a few F-sharps.  Somebody must have pooched the loading.  But it showed up this morning. 

It's in great shape aside from a few tiny marks here and there.  But that's actually good, because I'm not as worried about bumping it.  The E10OM is in showroom condition (even though I got it used) and so I'm paranoid about it.  It's a very cool and interesting guitar.  Completely unlike anything I've owned or played.  I measured and the neck really is only 1/16" of an inch wider at the nut, but it feels like half an inch wider!  It's crazy how much difference that tiny bit makes.  The action is again terrific, but still has tons of saddle left too.

It's pretty much exactly what I was hoping for.  Although the neck is wide, I can tell already I'll like that, and I actually LOVE the string spacing.  My fingertips are wide and my finger joints are not flexible, so this will hopefully clean up some of my fretting.  The biggest surprise is how much I like the sound of it when strummed.  I'm not a very percussive player, and this sounds just great to me with light strumming.  But I really got it obviously for fingerstyle.  I have learned some very basic Chet-style songs, but have really wanted to dig much more into it, as it might be my favorite guitar style to just sit and listen to.

Between this, my E10OM and E1D I am incredibly happy, lucky and more than satisfied!  With everything happening in the world, I am truly appreciative of my good fortune.
