Do you own an all Hog Guitar? If so, what do you like/love about it and if sold, what was the trigger to let it go?

I had a Martin 000-15m for a while, loved the feeling of the satin finish, the lightweight of the Guitar, I did like the sound....just loved the overall feeling of the Guitar, the vibe or mojo or what it is called. Couldn‘t bond with the neck shape, Just too thin, I prefer a full C, like Eastman necks. But I guess I wasn‘t ready for a smaller bodied Guitar altogether at the time. I really like my E8OM now and play it quite everyday. My Dread does not get much play anymore.

Recently I was at my friends place who owns a lot of good acoustics. He also owns an 00-15m, I did play it for a while and really loved it. Funny how things change. The neck felt fuller though as the 000-15m I had. Still, I was amazed at how much I enjoyed it. Just the overall experience, all Hog, raw looks, satin finish, extremely light. I could suddenly see myself owning one and it would suit my style. Easy rhythm singer songwriter stuff. Nice and relaxed, no fancy playing...

What is your experience with all Hog Guitars, love em or hate em?

If anyone is looking to do this swap, the Schaller tuners are a drop in fit. I have also changed out Grover Rotomatics with this model of Schaller with the same result, they drop right in.
Both have the straight drop screw hole on the back of the tuner and align perfectly. Both have the screw in bushing as opposed to press fit. The Schaller washer is a touch larger in circumference.

Just ordered my first Eastman today, the E20OO. Ive always played dreadnoughts but a friend picked up a small Waterloo recently and I was loving it. I play mostly fingerstyle and my main guitar currently is an '82 Guild D25. There were barely any Eastmans at any local dealers and travelling doesn't seem very smart currently so it'll be the first time buying a guitar without playing it first. I was not able to find a single negative review of their guitars so I'm pretty confident. I'm pretty excited and will update asap.

Just found out my consignment guitar sold and if it doesn’t get returned, I will receive a check at beginning of August. This will enable me to purchase a E20 OM-TC. Looking forward to possibly getting my first Eastman!

If anybody is looking to sell their E20D-TC I would love to be the new owner!

My new E20D-TC has a rich black Ebony fingerboard, after an hour of playing, my finger tips match the board.

My Two T486’s never once bled and the one I still have is a very rich even black. 

My new acoustic fingerboard is already starting to look a bit lighter after many hours of playing. 

I had a Chinese Gretsch that also did that to my fingers, it was clearly dyed. 

I’m not concerned, I know Ebony comes in a number of shades and is even streaked at times......I’m just surprised. 

Anyone else notice this on their Eastman?

wonder if any of you have played or at least seen an IRIS Guitar in a shop? It is a relatively new Guitar brand, made by Adam Buchwald. (the Luthier behind Vermont based Circle Strings).

I am asking cause a friend of mine played an OG model (think Gibson LG style) in a shop in the Netherlands while he was there on a work trip. He thought they were quite nice. All Hand made around 2K EUR. Their own design. Shape, neck Joint etc. No frills Guitar, completely stripped down. Sort of Martin 15 Series vibe. not even pore fillers. He said it sounded very lively, dynamic and open. He really liked the Guitar. Couldn't find a whole lot online. Below some links. 

Also the shop I bought my E8OM in the Netherlands has a slope shoulder Iris Guitar on stock, also made a Video of it comparing it to a J45. I did ask the Sales Guy what he thinks of the Guitar, he said it was a very well made Guitar, great craftmanship and very good Woods. Unique desing. First you Need to get used to the bare Looks und feel, but it has a great neck shape, similar to Eastman's he thought, kinda full C and a very nice vibe altogether. A very cool guitar, all handmade...something different indeed he said. I posted that link below as well. 

thought I drop a thread and see if there is any Feedback. I do like the "raw" style of the 15 series by Martin. I only sold my 000-15m cause I wasn't too much into the all hog Sound and also the neck wasn't much my Cup of tea….and yeah I got a great offer for it :-)

PS: I am sure there will be comments on the Headstock design. I very much love that design! very cool and different to everything else around. Talking design, I am not too crazy About the Pickguard shapes.

I have just taken delivery of my beautiful AC222ce-ov classic. First impressions beautiful tone, I mean delivery was an hour ago so haven’t given it a real go.I am really pleased that I read another post on the forum about not using household cleaning products on open pore guitars. This new guitar has the classic finish. Would I be ok to use bees wax? If not any suggestions please.

Hi! I’m new to the forum and just received my new E20OM-TC last week. This is the 4th Eastman I’ve owned, (E10OM, E10SS & E10D) All of these were great guitars, but the E20OM-TC is the best too date.

I took a look inside today and noticed the back and sides appear to be oiled, or varnished. Is this normal? I’ve never seen this on other guitar and I’ve bought and sold a fair number.
