Howdy folks -
As you can see, we've hit 10K posts in the Eastman Acoustic section (which is great of course!). However, because the digit has moved the UI spacing from four spaces to five, it's causing a UI format problem and doesn't look as clean.  At first glance it doesn't appear there is a quick fix and I'll need a little time to debug.  It doesn't inhibit the website at all, just doesn't look quite as clean.  Stay tuned...

I'm looking for a strat style guitar, 3 single coil or 2 single and a humbucker. I don't believe Eastman make this style, correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, I have £1000 max budget, what's the best guitar I can get for under that, I play mostly light rock, punk rock, grunge ect

Hello all! I hope you are doing well. It’s been awhile since I’ve been on the forum. I still own my E10D-TC and E20D-TC. They are doing well.

Anyway, I’ve been in the market for an 000 style guitar for awhile since I just own dreads. (J45 and D18)

I often play outside and sometimes around campfires so I was looking for something that would be less expensive but still have a great sound.

What made me decide on the E2OM was the fact that it is short scale which makes it easier to play. It has a cedar top (I like the warmth of cedar) but I’ve never owned one. This example looks very clean in the pictures and the rosette on these models is unique and beautiful. The one example I played in the store was really good.

What do you think about the Cedar Eastman’s? Does anyone here own this model? I’d like to hear your opinion.

I have acquired an E6-TC and can’t keep both so the SS is going

Summary:
Solid Adirondack Spruce top
Solid Mahogany back and side
Rosewood Fingerboard and Bridge (they changed to Ebony post Cities regs)
Nitrocellulose.

Guitar is in excellent condition had a very easy life. Comes with hardcase which is extremely decent and unmarked.

The guitar is in excellent condition only 1 small mark on rear of neck higher than first fret so does not interfere with playing no other chips/dents/scratches (some super faint marks from playing/wiping down) overall 9/10

These are highly sought after and here’s a chance to grab a deal they don’t pop up to often and most UK stores are all on back order

Amazing to play, have a YouTube search on them they are spectacular guitars

Only consider trades for Eastman E8D-TC money either way etc

Play test welcomed

Collection only from Mansfield (near Sherwood Pines Country Park) will consider meeting if it helps reduce travel times for a potential sale)

This is my first post on this forum.

Today I bought a Gretsch G2217 at a local music shop (a rather unplanned purchase), and after twiddiling for hours on it I've come to the conclusion that I am going to return it and try to get my hands on a guitar I've been drooling over for the past year or two, the Eastman T386.

Most threads and videos I've seen were uploaded a couple of years ago and I just wanted to ask someone with experience what I am to expect. I've heard people compare it with a gibson Es-335 and claimed that it "Out 335:ed the gibson-335" both in feel and sound. Is that still a reasonable claim with the newer guitars or has the quality of the guitars decreased over the years? Really looking forward for your thoughts on this.

Regarding the pickups I've heard both people adoring them and people that really dislike them. What I've understood is that they are very bright sounding almost like a single-coil. Is this something any other owners has noticed? I currently own a Japanese Fender stratocaster from 1987 with a system 1 bridge, and it is probably one of the brightest strats I've ever played. So I am looking for something warmer sounding. And if people are arguing that a pick up change is necessary, will I be better off spending a little more money on the T486? I can add that I mostly play jazz, fusion and blues, and if this is like a regular 335-style guitar I assume it can handle some gain for some Eric Johnson or Gary moore style gigs.

The final thing I want to ask is about the pots. I am not that well-read when it comes to potentiometers but what I've come to understand is that they effect how precise your tone and volume knobs are. And what I've heard is that Eastman tend to cheap out in this department and that the tone knobs gives you either a very muddy sound or a super bright (as I've said before) almost a single-coil sound. Any thoughts or opinions?

Looking forward to any answers that hopefully helps me make a wise purchase!

Looking to buy an Eastman all hog E10 00-M (12 frets to body)
Maybe Martin 000-15MS or Martin 00-15M.
I love the open head stock, but it's not a must.
I do want a 12 fretter, 00 or 000, all hog.
Any cosmetic condition.

One of the projects I've been slowly chipping away at it is putting together better recordings of my original songs. I've recruited my son Devon to help with that: I do all the guitar/bass and vocal work on the tracks; Devon is contributing the drums and percussion, and critiques the result (which has made me more than once re-record my parts!)

The song below, "I Am Home (Nise's Song)"—Denise (my spouse) insisted on the parenthetical addition to the title—doesn't have any drums, or any bass for that matter. It's just me on guitars (my E10D and E8D in this case) and vocals. This came about after Denise and I planned a trip to Ireland with my sister and brother-in-law, but at the last minute Denise was too ill to accompany us, though she insisted I should go anyway. I missed her terrifically, and wrote an early draft of these lyrics after my return. She and I did make it to Ireland for the Dublin World Science Fiction convention two years later, though on that trip we also spent several days in Wales and thus I was never able to take Denise out to the west of Ireland to see what I think is the most gorgeous scenery on Earth. Maybe in another few years...
