There's a 2020 00018 for sale on AGF for $2200.  I'm going to agonize over this but I don't quite have the money right now.

I was wondering what the average daily number of hits is on this site? Anybody else interested? Also, an observation - I think the rate of new memberships is increasing. It's an upward curve, not just increasing membership numbers.

Ok - I must ask this oft asked question. Can anyone state CATEGORICALLY that ToneRite does work? And if so after how long ? I am seriously considering getting one

Does anyone own an Eastman classical guitar, or played one or even seen one in the flesh? I am not talking about the hybrid Cabaret guitar which a member recently bought, although they they are clearly great guitars.

It's 75 degrees and climbing at 7:50.  I've lived here 27 years and we're about to set a number of records including the hottest ever.  Sleeping last night was a nightmare!

What about the guitars?  Any concerns with this heat?

How consistent are Eastman necks?

I got my E6-OM this winter and it is my go-to now.  I think I particularly like the 24.9" scale - seems just a hair easier to reach some of my stranger and stretchier chords.

Now I am itching to try a different tonewood combination and leaning toward an E20-OM.  Seen a good deal for a 2020 model (like my E6), but it's thousands of miles from me so I can't play it.  I'm getting used to this, but figured there are some pretty knowledgeable (or is that "opinionated"?) folks here.  You guys steered me right the last time.

Also, if anyone wants to make a pitch for a TC top I'll listen, although the deal I see is not TC.  I am of a mind that this treatment accomplishes more for Sitka tops than Adirondacks... but I've been wrong before.

I dropped off my E20D at the luthier's to have it set up because I was getting string buzz off the frets, especially since I have the E20D tuned in DADGAD. Justin (the luthrier) asked if I had a set of strings for him to put on the guitar afterward. I didn't have a set in the case. Justin keeps in stock Elixirs (ugh!), but he mentioned that he had some D'Addario XS Phosphor Bronze strings in if I wanted try them. I told him, great, put those on as I hadn't had a chance to try them yet and I was curious how they'd sound and feel.

I got the guitar back today (wonderful set-up, BTW) and here's my first impressions of the XS strings:

FEEL: far better than the Elixirs, which always feel slick and 'greasy' to me. These just feel like... strings. Non-coated ones.
SOUND: a little brighter than I prefer, but then new strings are often that way. But beyond the brightness, they sound good with nice definition. And the E20 is responding well (as usual) if I dig in. We'll see if the bright edge goes away with a week's use or so -- and we'll also see how well they hold up over time.  

More to come later after they settle in. Anyone else been using these?

I have the possibility of a E2OM or ACC122-2ce. I have only been playing around a year. I like fingerstyle, but not exclusively. Would the GA be a good all rounder for a relatively new player with fingerstyle leanings? Thank you for any words of wisdom! I am an average size man, play sitting own, would like something comfortable.

It's quiet, so - the Prelude to Bach's Cello Suite #1 on harmonica. With good breath control it is possible to emulate the 'feel' of a cello surprisingly well. Obviously the harmonica is VERY different to the cello, one fundamental difference being the inability of the harmonica to play two notes simultaneously (well ...), another the inability to play arpeggios which resolve into chords - neither of which is a show stopper in this piece :-

So, first, let me say that I'm very happy with these two guitars. They're both unique and I love having two unique guitars that I'm really enjoying.

One question though.  The E10 is significantly quieter than the E20 which is nicely loud projects boldly.  I'm wondering what might make this difference.  Both have Adi tops with the cooked top and the other is regular Adi. Of course one is Rosewood b/s and the other Mahogany b/s.  So, what do you think might make this difference?
