  T 486B volume issues
Posted by: Muskrat - Forum: Eastman Electric and Archtop Guitars - Replies (2)

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forum. Just got my new T486 and am blown away. Amazing sound and voicing. Feels like a much more expensive guitar. After several months of usage, the volume out to my amp drops considerably. From ideal volume to 1/4 output.

I'm going to have it looked at, however just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

  New Eastman Shipmet in Memphis.
Posted by: REHII - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (4)

Today at my local Eastman dealer here in Memphis, Martin Music, they just got about 20 Eastman guitars delivered today.
It was late in the day so I only got to see a couple of them getting unboxed.
Two E20SS sunburst and one E20 sunburst.
All looked really great.
But what surprised me most was the cases that the E20SS guitars came in.
They were brown distressed leather looking.
Very nice.
Also the new price $1639 for E20SS.
I will go by as soon as possible to see what else they got.
I played one of the SS models and it was great.
Also really nice looking rosewood fretboard and bridge on the SS models now.
One of them had really nice rosewood in the back. Like 40 series Martin nice.

  Eastman 5 Year Warranty
Posted by: Guzzi Fan - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (6)

As I didn't want to hijack Mitch's E10 00SS Black Beauty thread, I will start a new one.

In the posted TFOA ad - https://www.tfoa.eu/en/eastman-e10-00ss-...ivers.html - it states that the guitar has a 5 Year Warranty.  I don't believe I have ever seen any mention of this before.  Is this warranty information new or have I just missed it?

The guitar is in excellent condition. It has been my gig guitar for the last 3 years. Does show very light use.

No affiliation and just in case someone here hadn't seen it.  Seems like a solid deal.  I've dealt with the seller before and he's a great guy.  Someone should buy this before I convince myself I need it Smile

Hi all

not sure this was announced and you already know, but I was surprised to see an Eastman E40D TC Thermo Cured being on sale at the TFOA in the Netherlands. Just in apparently.

Thumbs Up Hello from a newbie: Question on E1OM vs higher in the range
Posted by: Yinyang - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (9)

Hello all, just got my first Eastman and loving it!  [Image: thumbsup.png]

It's an E1 OM which is just what I was looking for  - smaller body and scale length since my current guitar (grand auditorium Sanden Model Tanglewood) was causing my dodgy shoulders to ache, thus leading to shorter playing time.  Even with 11-52 strings on it, the Sanden was causing me trouble in my shoulders because of the larger lower bout.  The E1 was my fist dipping the toes into Eastman guitars, having read and seen so many reviews and positive videos.   The E1 size is more comfortable and the action easier than the standard scale length on the Sanden.

So I am now a real Eastman OM convert, for both the body size and scale length.

So, my question to those in the know is this:  What more would I get from the higher models like the E8OM?  How much of an actual upgrade is the E8 over the E1?  For instance, the finish on the E1 is clearly lower budget than the other models, but I'm ok with that as playability has always been more of a priority for me. For my money on a higher model like the E8, do I just get some slightly better Rosewood and Sitka and a nicer quality finish, or does the guitar genuinely resonate and play better than the cheaper models?

Thanks for the benefit of your experiences.
