After several significant delays, I have finally taken ownership of a brand new Eastman AC622CE, with the Alpine spruce top, flamed maple back, sides and neck, and maple leaf inlays. Oh, and an armrest bevel, and sound port.
It is extremely beautiful, probably the prettiest guitar I have. My E40OM is also a beauty, but the 622 is more original, and looks less like an "Elvis" guitar.
Preliminary opinion of the tone is, perfect. I was fearing a lack of bass and a brittle treble with this wood combination, but the trebles, while bright, are round, and the bass is big and resonant, though it lacks the growl or rumble of rosewood. But, I'm fine with that - I have several rosewood guitars.
I will post some detailed pictures soon.
