I just purchased an Eastman E2D. Can anyone suggest a good hard case that will fit it snugly.

I’ve almost owned my E2D (cedar top w/ sapele b/s) for 2 years now. I still can’t believe how unbelievable this guitar is. I’ve been playing it on fairly dead strings, and it still sounds incredible. The tone is so crisp, with chimey trebles, and a deep deep growl. It sounds just as good flatpicking as fingerpicking (my preferred playing style), but the headroom doesn’t compress. It basically has limitless headroom.

Just figured I’d share in case anyone is contemplating getting this model. And of course wanted to brag on my own guitar!

I went to a local guitar shop the other day, maybe one of the best in my multi state region, and I played several new D-18s, and I’ve got to say my E2D is just better. And those Martins are now almost $3K. I did play a 1967 D-18 that was probably the best sounding guitar in the store though. But hard to beat wood that old.

I also think this guitar has taught me that overall I prefer a long scale guitar. I also like my E8OM-TC, but don’t like the short scale as much. The E8 is pretty wonderful, so by no means am I slighting it. It can just be a bit floppy due to the scale length. The long scale also lends more towards alternate tunings.

Do you guys also go through periods or cycles where you may prefer one guitar over another, and then flip flop? Up until a few months ago, I swore I slightly preferred the E8, but now I prefer the E2D. Maybe it’s just because I’ve been playing it more.

At any rate, we sure are blessed to have Eastman!

WOW! Was not expecting this guitar look and sound so good. Was blown away. The sound is different than my D-18 but just ad impressive in it’s own way. Great balance and was suprised at volume. The his is the first Eastman Ive owned and I feel I will own some more. The burst is more amberish than sun. I am not a fan of burst but this one truly has changed my mind

I bought a Used E1D-CLA today as a present for someone...
 I don't own any satin guitars and I see that Eastman switched their finish to 'truetone satin' whatever that is...What can I clean it with?
 
 The only 'official' cleaner I own is Virtuoso and it specifically says to Not use it on satin

Idea's? Experience?

I am going to offer my AC422CE for sale, and I am wondering what it would cost (approximately) to ship. 

I guess I could roll that into the advertised price, or offer a lower price with the buyer paying the shipping.  Either way, I would like to know about what it would cost.

Hi guys, I really hope someone can help me. I’ve tried logging into the ‘acoustic guitar forum’ (wanted to post my NGD there also and comment on some Sigma threads) but it says I’ve been banned as my account has been ‘hacked’ and the ban will ‘never’ be lifted.

I tried to setup another account but it will not work, I’m also unable to contact the administrator to setup a new account as you need an existing account!

I was given no notification of my account being hacked just found out when trying to log in. Any advice is much appreciated.

Hello everyone!

Sorry if this subject has already been done to death.

So I just bought a new e20d tc from Sweetwater.
I seen this batch comes with the Gotoh SE780-06M tuners per Eastmans website and Sweetwater also said gotoh in the description.

When I received the guitar it has non branded tuners that look otherwise the same.No markings.
Does gotoh always have markings?
After looking around they appear to be the ping tuners they used previously and on other models.

Now I wouldn't normally sweat that much.Its likely a decent tuner, but it's not what was described.
So I reached out to my sales engineer, who went on to say that they are in fact gotoh, and the description is accurate, but gotoh will remove their logo and/or model number at the manufacturers request.

I don't think that's accurate, and I'm pretty surprised they would fabricate such a story.
I went on their site and checked the other available e20d tc they have still, and this time I got out the reading glasses and zoomed in and that guitar has gotoh stamped on the tuners.(They both just came into stock last week)
So mine being from the same shipment, I'd assume mine was just from trying to finish a run and ran out of gotohs for the day.

I think he might have been taking out his back side.

I get that Eastman flips hardware without much notice, but I can't understand why a retailer would make up a story.
They have to be aware Eastman switches stuff randomly.I can't be the first to point it out.

Anyway just a little rant.
Wanted to get some experienced eyeballs on it just to see if they look like pings.
Because according to Sweetwater they're unmarked gotohs.He really wanted me to feel ensured about it.

And I get that if it plays good then who cares, but the retailer should be trusted.
They went dark when I responded saying I think they're pings.
I think they don't know how to back track that story they made up.
Wouldn't have even sent it back... just an honest explanation would have done.
What do you guys think?
