I need this solved in a big way. Haven't been able to play this guitar since I bought it a year ago because the buzzing is that bad.
=12ptI brought my Eastman acoustic to a music store tech because I was unable to get rid of the fret buzzing on the 3rd and 4th strings myself. I had delicately leveled the fret board to make sure there were no high spots myself, but the buzzing continued and so that's why I brought it to this tech. He looked at the guitar and said it looks like the last 8 or 9 frets may be slightly raised so he said he would sand them evenly with the others using the 12 radius block. I responded that a straight edge doesn't show any hump so he took out his straight edge and checked every string and fret throughout the keyboard. He then remarked, your right, and that I had done a great job of leveling the frets. =12ptYet despite seeing no problems with the last 8 frets using the straight edge he still insisted on sanding them down. I felt uncomfortable with this proposal but who am I to question someone with 15 years experience. =12ptSo he went ahead and sanded down those frets and re-crowned them, and replaced the saddle with a non-compensated one. Sure enough it did not resolve the buzzing, which he agrees continues to sound like fret buzzing. He kept the guitar for another week saying he'd continue to work on it. =12ptToday he informed me that he can't figure out why it's buzzing. He also advised me that he tried an old trick of soaking each hole in the bridge with crazy glue to which I responded, seriously, why would you do this without getting my permission to do so. =12ptSo now my frets are no longer perfectly level throughout the keyboard, the bridge holes are lined with crazy glue and a guitar that is buzzing more than ever. I haven't taken the strings off to see if there's anything else messed up. I am not happy.
