Is playing guitar good for your mental health?
Posted by: gustavowoltmann - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (8)

We see playing guitar as a form of mindful escapism, a way to create space between an individual and their busy mind. Guitar-playing is beneficial to your overall well-being and mental health in other ways, too, including helping you develop a greater sense of personal achievement.

What you say about this?

Greetings All!

Glad to be part of this group!

Just got a pre owned T184MX and I can't find how track the guitar-
The guy I got it from wasn't sure when it was made. It shows almost
no use at all, and is mint condition.

Serial Number is 10355126

I think it might have been made in 2015, but not positive.
I think it has Seymour Duncan pups.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Jerry

  NGD: E8D-TC

(Power out today, and I don’t know how to post pics using my phone, so images to follow)

UPS delivered my new E8D-TC this morning. From Sky Guitars in Denton TX. Unprecedented double boxed box! Scratched my head for thirty seconds trying to figure out where to open. Also, great setup by Erik @ Sky.

Beautiful shade top, cool reds on the rosewood back. Updates to follow.

First sonic impressions; loud without trying (not unlike most newish Eastmen), with maybe an emphasis on the mids? Early days though..the strings are brand new.

Hey guys,

In case anyone is having GAS.

Dave's Guitar Shop just listed some great used Eastman acoustics. An E1D, E2D, E2OM, and AC122-2CE. Dirt cheap too.

I got my hands on a SB55-V-SB and I thought I'd offer it here. This guitar is a prototype that Eastman used to demonstrate the guitar. It's brand new and come with full warranty and I must say sounds and feels incredible.

  E6D and E2D
Posted by: SasquatchLife - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (2)

Hello. I'm curious to know if anyone here owns both the E6D and E2D (Cedar version)?

If so, how do you think the E2D compares to the E6D in terms of tone? I'm considering buying both models, and would like to know what you guys think about each one. I know the E2D is cedar and sapele with open pore, versus the Sitka and hog with gloss on the E6D. I'm just curious if you think the E6D sound is superior to the E2D or just different? I know these questions are super subjective, but if you own both, which guitar do you prefer and why?

Thank you!

Jordan

Hello all , wondering how many left handed players here ?
Would you post a pic and how you found the brand .
I'll start ,
I was in a little shop and there it was El ray 2 . It was pretty beat up and needed refinish work and rewiring . It hand Seymour Duncan 59's so that was a plus . Its not my favorite Eastman to hear but the prettiest .

My name is Mike. I have a very nice bass rig.
It's an Ampeg SVT CL head (all tube) and an Ampeg SVT410HLF cabinet.
All made in the USA.

Looking for an Eastman Les Paul type of guitar or an SB55. Prefer sunburst.

Rob here. 30+ years playing/writing/recording. Just recently bought a T386 and I'm eagerly awaiting delivery. I'm a Gibson guy, through & through, but after a few years of reading about & playing a few examples, I just couldn't deny the urge anymore.

Glad to be here, looking forward to learning a lot from y'all!

  AC320 CE pick guard
Posted by: Geona E - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (4)

Greetings all!

Just purchased my first Eastman: AC320 CE lefty. So excited! First thing that surprised me was the difference in tone compared to my Yamaha LL16, which is also all solid with a Engleman spruce top and Rosewood back and sides. The Eastman is so much lower and warmer in tone, has incredible balance (like the highs, mids, and lows seem to resonate equally), and the quality of high notes all the way up the neck is dang impressive. Still love my Yamaha lol. It's a bright and powerful beast with awesome sustain.

So my Eastman is a used model. No pickguard, and while it is pretty without, unfortunately the previous owner did scuff up the area with his pick, so I'm thinking of putting one on.

Anyone have recommendations or guidance? I'm kind of bored with tortoise shell. Was thinking maybe I'd spend a little more and get something of good quality and maybe something somewhat eye-catching. I'm just ignorant on the subject because I've only ever had factory-installed PGs on my guitars.

Thanks and glad to be here!
