I would like to learn fingerstyle; I’ve been a strummer for 50+ years. Which guitar would you folks recommend?
M series or OM? The E40om-tc is beautiful but is it worth the extra money?

Up for sale is my 2106 Carvin AG300 acoustic guitar amp with cover in mint condition (the stand is not included). It has less than 100 hours on it, and most of that was inside a smoke-free house. The only reason that I'm selling it is that my back and shoulder no longer want to carry a 30 lb amp and hoist it onto a pole mount stand.

This is a really well made, excellent sounding 3-channel solid state amp with built-in 3-band EQ on 2 of the channels (2-band on the third channel), and built-in reverb, echo and chorus effects. It is designed for acoustic guitars and vocals, and can handle a bass guitar easily as well. Can be pole mounted and can be hooked up to an extension speaker, so it's more like a PA.

Carvin is no longer making these amps and they are really hard to find used. They are really well respected on The Acoustic Guitar Forum. Apologies for the photos (the amp is perfectly rectangular).

Hey y’all, just got myself an ‘07 805CE, I want to replace the stock pickup with a single coil Dearmond, just curious if anyone here has done so and if it’s an involved process, a possible process and what results may have arisen. Thanks!

I'm really craving a 12 fret, or all hog guitar.  I'm eyeing a Martin 000-15sm, but was wondering if Eastman ever has plans to manufacture a 12 fret 000 or Dread, or even an All Hog guitar like they used to.  Does anybody know if they ever plan on doing either builds?

P.S. - I've really fallen in love with my E8OM-TC that I bought last November.  I still love my E8D, but the tone and balance on this E8OM-TC is incredible.

This was my first venture into Eastman land and most of you know that I went on to buy an E8om-tc and a E20om-tc.  I've learned a couple of things about me.  I like the Adi top on the 20 and rosewood b/s on the 8 & 20.  I'm now looking to buy either an E10 OO  or E10OM.  The former is my first choice.  So, something has to go. 

For members here I'd be willing to make an adjustment to the price depending on shipping estimates if cross country.  For those who might not know I bought this 2 months ago and it's gotten less and less playing time since purchasing the other two. 

I picked this up from Dave's Guitars about 2 months ago. The main reason I bought it was the Alpine spruce top. It was a used model but I cannot find a mark on it. The plastic was still on the guard. It came in the newer stinky arch top case with grey interior. I am still working on getting the smell out of it. I found this interesting as my E8D-TC came in the three generations ago basic flat top case. 

When I received it I changed the strings to DR Rare 12-54 which I like on mahogany guitars. I was duly impressed with tone but floored by the balance and string to string articulation of the notes. It has an incredibly warm/rich tone to it. It definitely doesn't have the low end or sparkling highs of the E8, but that balance is just spectacular. To be honest, it has kind of replaced my E4OM in the pecking order.(for now) I tried some EB 80/20 lights and a set of GHS VB 85/15 Mediums (thanks Keith). The guitar sounded like something was missing with the 80/20s. With the GHS VBs the guitar seemed to have A LOT of power behind it. It was almost like it found another gear. Unfortunately it made the bass a little too prominent and one thing I prefer in this guitar is the string to string balance. The action was a little high on both the nut and saddle. I have been working on improving my set-ups and I think this one might be my best. I have action on the E at the 12th of about 2.75 and on the e about 1.75 with .007 relief in the neck. I should also point out this guitar's fret were dead level. I found no high spots anywhere on the neck and the fret ends were nicely finished. The nut is a full 1.75" with 1.51" E-e string spacing. There is a small imperfection in the bridge, but it is minor. The inside of the guitar is not sealed like on my E40. There is some very minor stain or poor clean up around the label.

Of course I had to add some small personalization. The tuners are Gotoh's SE with pearloid buttons to match the pearloid Eastman on the headstock. I added a John Pearse Slimline Jr ebony armrest. The pickup is a Schatten HFN with tape install. (Hands down the cleanest and easiest install I have ever done.) I changed to a set of ebony bridge pins with abalone inlays and brass inserts. The final touch is an excellent Red Swirl Holter Pickguard.

Hey All,
Frequent reader, first time posting.  About 3 years ago I bought an E20D and immediately began a huge Eastman fan. I've received a lot of compliments on the looks, quality and most importantly sound.  Now I'm interested in getting a smaller body, spruce/mahogany (couch) guitar to be a good companion for my rosewood dread.  I'm considering 3 different Eastmans... E10om, E10ooss (in store purchase) or E60m (online purchase).  I wouldn't even be opposed to considering the E1om (for obvious budgetary reasons).  

I play regularly with 2 friends, who both play dreadnaughts. So I'm looking for something with a rich, full sound that projects well.  I realize buying a guitar is subjective and is like buying clothes.  In the catalog everything looks great but you can't really tell how it fits until you try it on.  The closest Eastman dealer is over an hour away and with the COVID restrictions, I haven't had an opportunity to get there.

I've enjoy reading all of your posts.  So until I can get the chance to play the E10om and E10ooss, I thought  it would be interesting to see what you think would be the best complement to my E20D.
