I hate the look of inlay to separate the bookmatched back pieces. All of a sudden, everything I'm seeing for sale, that is new from Eastman has it. Why? Any thoughts out there? Personally, I'm looking for an E10/SS without it and can't find one.

bought my new baby as a couch guitar but after 2 weeks I decided to bring it on stage with my others guitars, all equipped with an anthem SL I installed without any problems. The E20OM is so easy to play and sounds great, my new No 1. Better than my Martin 000-28ec and Lakewood M32 and by far not so pricey.

Took a look into the eastman and saw that the bridge plate inside the guitar is really small to take place for the anthem microphone. Not sure I can place it there. So I hope anyone here can tell me where I can place the mic, photo will be great.

I usually keep one acoustic guitar stung with silk-and-steel strings (my arthritis acts up now and then, and the low tension's easier on the joints, plus i really like the warmth; they're the most "mellow" of acoustic strings on D'Addario's "mellow/bright" chart. 

I'd always bought into the conventional wisdom that pole pickups --vs saddle or under-bridge transducers(?)-- couldn't respond to acoustic guitar strings.  then i stumbled on a post showing how D'Add silk-and-steel strings sound through a sound-hole pickup. (they're wound with a kind of silver plating, not bronze.

well, i tried some on my AR403, and after pickup and pole-piece height adjustments for string balance, the kent armstrong quite liked them. i'm keeping them on.

yup, tone and style are personal, but for me it was a very good discovery that i figured i'd pass along.

Seems like fancy E20SS with losange inlays and some distressing on the top.
I got to say I'm loving this look ! The price is a bit steep though...

So I recently sold my E8D locally.  It's a terrific guitar, but I only used it live and didn't find myself ever reaching for it at home.  I do feel the urge to play my others daily.  Also, I was finding it a bit limited live as I am incorporating more blues fingerstyle and would love to play more electric-style stuff.  It just isn't designed for it. 

I decided to try something radical.  I had been intrigued by the Martin SC-13E, and finally located one that was at a local shop.  I immediately loved it, and it's the most versatile acoustic I've ever seen, let alone played.  I could easily play up to the 18th fret.  I liked the sound and loved the feel of it.  They wouldn't deal at all on price, and I just couldn't bring myself to pay full price.  I looked online and found a slightly used one for far less.  I arrived yesterday and I am really happy with it.

I know many people hate the look of it, and I do prefer traditional designs, but everything about the design is functional.  Also, I actually love streaked ebony, and this one is bananas.  But I dig it.  When I get a chance over the next few days I'll do a sound sample video.

I've recently purchased a used E10ss/v. Absolutely fantastic guitar (even with the narrow nut!). As I said in a previous post, I'm looking at changing the tiger stripe guard for a black bat-wing. Got a price from Holter and also contacted Eastman to see if they can supply the pick guard.  The only problem I can see is that the top of the tiger stripe guard at the bridge end lines up under the B string whist the bat-wing sits just below the E. So if swapped over there would be a previously hidden area left uncovered by the new guard. I wonder if it is possible to remove any adhesive residue from the french polish without damaging the finish? I'd be very interested to hear if anyone has attempted this with the antique varnish finish? (I suppose one solution would be to ask Holter to make an oversized guard). Thanks for your time.

So as the title states, I've only ever owned dreads when it comes to acoustics.  When I recently bought my E-6D-TC alpine I was sorely tempted to consider other options just to see what the differences are like.  I opted instead to stick with a new dread as a clear upgrade to the Seagull I had been playing.

So my question is, as a person who is largely ignorant about the smaller body styles - what their designs are intended to optimize, their history, etc. - I'm wondering what smaller Eastmans I should focus on to start my research?  I was thinking I could keep an eye out for used listings in case a good deal comes along on one.

Thoughts?

Hey guys, first post here. I've been enjoying my E20D-TC but am itching for something more comfortable for fingerstyle. Has anyone tried the AC308CE LTD? What were your impressions? Eastman's website used to list the scale length at 25.4" but now that the guitar is towards the bottom of the page the scale length is listed as 24.9". I contacted Eastman but never got a response.

Edit: Looks like 24.9" is the correct scale length. Now I really want to try one out.
