The E20P bought on Reverb just arrived and meets all my exceptions.

The Eastman E20P has the same size and weight of my Yamaha CSF3M parlor. It has a much better tone, well worth the extra cost. 
The Eastman E20P does not quite have the same tone as my Eastman E20-OM, which I compare to my Martin D-35. But it is similar in quality of trueness. This is an amazing accomplishment for a parlor.  
The E20P string spacing feels optimized for finger picking, while the E20-OM works for both finger and flat.  
I do not understand why the Larrivee sounded so bad that I could bear to hear it. 

The Eastman E20P has ended my search for the perfect parlor guitar. Can't keep my hands off it.

Any one tried Santa Cruz strings on their E10SS?

Hi everyone on EGF!
I wanted to share some photos of my new Eastman today since I'm so ecstatic over this guitar and wanted to spread some more love for these incredible instruments. I have had a hard time doing anything but playing this guitar for the past 3 days, and I'm pulling myself away from it reluctantly to post this right now.
After receiving it a few days ago and letting it settle for a day, I did some minimal bridge/truss rod/ pickup height adjustments to zero it in to where it's just right for me, and I've been playing it ever since!
The only couple (very minor) issues I had with it were the numbers on the amber knobs, which weren't readable at all in low light so I replaced them with some Gibson amber knobs with easily visible white numbers, and the orange-y looking switch tip which I replaced with a more natural looking Gibson amber switch tip.
This one has the newer smaller headstock so the G and D strings aren't rubbing against the A and B posts, and it looks cleaner and more elegant to me.
It sounds absolutely fantastic in every position, clean or dirty, and although the guitar is bright on the bridge pickup, it's a snappiness and zing that I really love and is easily tamed by either the volume or tone knob. Middle position has that wonderful hard-to-describe chirp, and the neck pickup is round and elegant with no woofiness.
This is my first 335-style guitar so coming from the Les Paul and SG world, the clarity and presence of the Eastman is really amazing. And the looks are pretty good too... the hand rubbed finish with the tasteful aging that was done seems to let the guitar really breathe and sing. If you're considering a T59, I would say sell what you have to sell, and jump in. The build quality and attention to detail are simply staggering at this price!  Enjoy some pics, and I want to say thanks for having this site for Eastman guitars!

I have been working on Under the Double Eagle. It's a flatpicking standard, but I had no idea that it was a march written by Wagner.

In case anyone is in the market, The Acoustic Shoppe has a gorgeous new 20D-TC. Thought maybe an EGFer should take a look. I don't believe they last long.

Just received this one from Sound Pure.




I am amazed at the resonance and balance of the sound. Obviously the workmanship and attention to detail are superior and well known. I was attracted to the carved maple top and mahogany back, sides and neck. A perfect combo! After owning two 339s and a 335 LC, I am very pleased that this 185 is what I've been looking for all along.
Any suggestions for caring for the nitro finish?
I am mildly concerned that since I anchor my pinky on the top I will harm the finish.
