Just received my first Eastman through an auction purchase from New York.  Auction house stated it was a T484 but it's a full 16" at the lower bout.  No sticker in the F-hole and no serial number visible inside or outside the guitar.  Other items of note:

Solid maple top back (gorgeous grain inside)
Full center block of maple
Schaller bridge/tail
Schaller pickups
Grover tuners
Abalone dot fret markers
Maple inlay "Eastman" headstock logo
7-ply binding on top/back
3-ply binding on neck
Micro switches
No pick guard holes
Side output jack
Light finish checking throughout

Knowing any of these parts may be aftermarket, any help would be most appreciated!

I am offering this beautiful Eastman EU3-Tenor Ukulele for $200 plus $45 shipping. The ukulele is in like new mint condition. The reason I’m selling it is that I’m spending more time playing my Eastman E6 LGSS.

Just bought one.
Sound, setup, neck and QC are great. 
Had an E10-OM LTD Slot Head around 10-12 years ago.
I actually prefer the open pore sound of this $300 PCH.

Hello all - I received a new E10SS/V from an authorized dealer this week. This is my first Eastman and I don't live near a dealer with much stock on hand. So, I took a flyer on this, and it plays and sounds absolutely amazing. There are a couple of issues with the finish though so I thought I'd see if people here have advice.

First, there are areas where the finish is hazy and has impressions from the case. The dealer told me that this happens with antique varnish finishes if they are shipped during hot weather. He has offered to provide instructions from Eastman of how to fix this and cover reasonable cost of having my luthier do it. I found a few threads describing similar issues by searching the web, but I didn't see anybdy saying it was totally resolved.

Second, there are hazy marks that don't correspond to impressions from the case. These are all over the guitar (especially the top) running parallel to the woodgrain on the top. The best example is on the top on either side of the fretboard. To me, these look like somebody tried to clean the varnish finish and damaged it. The dealer told me this is how the varnish finish is and that these marks might not be removable. I like the aged vibe of the finish, but this looks like damage to me. I think the finish is probably supposed to have a consistent gloss level everywhere.

I'll attach photos, but it's especially difficult to capture the second type of mark that I described.

The photos of the lower bout and zoomed in view of the back are hazy case impressions.
The photos of the top at the end of the fretboard are the hazy marks that look like cleaning errors.

My questions are:
1) Have others fixed the case impressions / hot weather marks? Did this work out well?
2) Are the second type of hazy marks normal?
3) Am I maybe just too picky to own one of these /V finishes?

I bought a beautiful used Romeo NYC from the Guitar Center website last week and received it yesterday. (I thought I would take a risk on used GC—which can be hit or miss, for sure). It plays beautifully and generally sounds great, but I hear a strange rattling sound. It does not seem to affect the sound when it’s amplified, but it’s pretty loud when played acoustically. I’m wondering if anyone has experience with this kind of sound. It doesn’t sound like fret buzz to me. It sounds more like something is rattling inside the neck pickup. I don’t have any experience with these filtertron pickups. Is that an experience anyone else has had? I uploaded a couple videos that capture the sound, here:

Selling this fantastic Eastman guitar which has been discontinued for lefties. It has plenty of honest wear and playing time, but still has plenty of life left due to a recent refret! Light checking along binding, some small dings, small marks on fretboard binding from refret. I can send additional photos.
These guitars are truly one of a kind, featuring a fully carved body with small center block, 1.75 nut width & 25 inch scale! This guitar has a Fralin Unbucker in the neck, which is one of the best humbuckers I’ve ever played. The neck tone knob is wired as a gradual tap, and the bridge tone knob acts as a master tone for both pickups. The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan 59! You can get so many great sounds from this guitar, it’s truly a Swiss Army knife instrument…I’m letting this instrument go because I would like to get a fully hollow instrument with a thinner nut width. Open to trades for a lefty T64 with the 1.72 nut!

Hi - I'm new to the group, thanks for having me.
I have an Eastman Otto D'Ambrosio Signature Model El Rey 2 ER2 Archtop Hollowbody - I love the guitar, but it won't stay in tune to the point I can only use it for practice - and then I spend half the time tuning it. Could it be the tuning pegs? Strings? Has anyone ls had this problem? I just had a neck reset by a highly recommended luthier - but this has always been a problem only now it's worse.
