Been playing my new T486 and loving it but feel that the setup could be better. The nut hangs a bit so I use nut sauce on it. The action could be lower but buzzes when I lower it.

Anyone had a pro setup or tweak it yourself?

I've certainly been blessed with the freedom to acquire a nice collection of guitars, which I am very happy to have and for which I know I'm
most fortunate. I don't drink, smoke, travel or have other expensive habits or hobbies, and I enjoy the process of learning about
models (mainly Eastman) and woods, tones, popularity. 
I traded today, my Guild DV-62 for cash and a new Eastman AC512.
(Gotta get rid of that other stuff to make room for Eastmans)
Yeah, and Friday, I also bought another guitar, a used Blueridge BR-260 with beautiful Brazilian rosewood, off craigslist.
But I did also sell one recently, my Eastman AC420.
I'll post some pictures of the Blueridge since it is an uncommon acquisition.
I'm at a maximum. and may need to look at a hard decision in choosing something to sell, maybe....

I am curious as to what the standard pickups are on Eastman acoustic electrics. My 822f, used, came with a shertler Lydia eq pickup system. I am thinking that maybe they only were used on the limited run of 822 fanned frets. Any ideas on this. I really like this system....but own nothing to compare it to.

Do any of you Eastman fans know if all of the e6om ltd models were made in 2014?  It's my understanding that there were only 100 made and they were all made the same year, which I believe was 2014.  I have searched the internet without luck.

No affiliation with the seller - but that certainly is a rare model, especially the inlays.  Interesting guitar!

I've rented the smallest booth, at a big guitar show this weekend in Erwin, TN (east TN). I've printed a banner that says this: "Martin???"  Buy An Eastman & Buy a Diamond Necklace For Her"... and I'll be wearing my Eastman T-Shirt. I should request a stipend from Eastman, Taking my guitars, maybe will sell one, 2 Blueridge, 4 Eastmans, a Guild, an RK. This show has mostly used expensive Martins. Very few or no new guitars, maybe 1/5 are electric, then accessories booths also, fun.

I've found that all the PCH guitars have overpowering high-mids when amplified. Do you folks think it's the undersaddle pickup or the preamp?

My hunch is that it's the preamp because piezo pickups are pretty simple. The fundamental lows are there because I can get a good tone by cutting highs and mids instead of boosting lows.

Even with this common problem, I think the PCH guitars are the best value around.

Thoughts?

I'm not afraid of cutting to install a preamp on the upper bout, but what preamps do you guys like that have the controls in the soundhole? Alternatively, has anyone found an undersaddle element that really makes a difference and is warmer?

Hi all -- first post here.   
I've been wanting a T486B-BD for years now, and have been kicking myself once in a while for not buying one while they were in production.  Well, I found one listed as "brand new" on Reverb a few days ago, and pulled the trigger.  I assumed it was NOS, since their current lineup does not include it, but when I opened the package today, the Certificate of Authenticity says March 20, 2018!  So, it looks like they're back in production, although I haven't seen any other new ones for sale (or used ones for that matter).  After playing it a bit, I concur with other's opinions here -- the fit & finish is incredible but it's definitely body-heavy (esp with the bigsby?).  The flame is much nicer in person than in the photos,  and polished ebony fretboard is a very nice touch.  So far, I really like the Duncan phat-cats, which I think are a change from earlier models.  I'm not the greatest photographer, but here are a couple of pics to prove it's real
