When I bought my E10D-TC back in Dec of 2017 I wanted a good pickup so I could play the guitar live. I went with an LR Baggs Anthem SL for the price to sound ratio. It’s a great pickup for this guitar and works great with the Baggs Session DI.

It has a great sound and is really only lacking in how much control you have over the tone. Tomorrow I’m getting the full anthem installed in my D-28 with hopes of finally finding the right pickup for that guitar.

Getting a good live sound is always a challenge so for those that have a pickup installed in their Eastman acoustic which one did you get an why? Where do you play (venues, bars, churches?) What DI do you use and are you happy with the sound? And If your Eastman came with a pickup stock, do you plan on keeping it or switching it out?

I've just come across a number of reviews and comparisons of high end slope shoulder acoustics on a youtube channel called 'Medz Music'. It includes Eastman E10SS and E1SS- LTD guitars and (in my opinion) the Eastmans beat their more expensive opposition hands down.  See what you think.

I’m wondering if anyone has any idea if Eastman could ever offer the E10SS with the 1.75 nut.

I understand from a previous thread that the goldburst gets the Lollar P 90s while the red TV64 v gets the Seymour Duncan P90’s

Does anyone know why?

I just bought a used gold burst with the Lollar’s. Sounds great, pickups seem darker sounding than my other Fralin P90 guitars. Anyone have experience in comparing the Lollars to the Duncan’s?

I bought an Eastman E10D-TC back in Dec of 2017. It’s a great guitar in all aspects except for the stiff ping tuners. It was noticeably bad on the G and B strings. I thought this was mostly due to the cheap(er) Ping tuners.

On recommendation of others in this forum I bought some Schaller Grand Tune open back tuners and installed them this afternoon. The tuners look great but the stiffness problem is now even worse. All but the high E string is very very hard to turn. Now I’m wondering if the Ping tuners weren’t the problem and it’s an alignment issue with the bushings(?) The back screws are snug but not tight, and after reading online I have no idea what could be causing the stiffness. Maybe Eastman didn’t drill the holes large enough to start with. I’ve never had this problem before and so far the internet has not been helpful.

Any thoughts from you guys before I take it to the luthier this weekend?

Btw the tuners turned fine (not ultra smooth) but decent before installing them on the guitar.

Hello All - I got an e mail this am from my man George at A Plus guitars letting me know that he finally got an E20D-TC in - if anyone is interested you should contact him ASAP - just sayin'....

I am still getting the hang of seasonal changes and their affect on my guitars. I like to keep my guitars out as I have found I will practice more if they are easily accessible. For the most part I am able to keep humidity in the 40-60% range and mostly in the 40-50% range. Anything more or less they go back in their cases with humidipaks. I came across a very thorough article by Larrivee about humidity and temperature and the care of guitars. I thought I would share.

Hey guys...question about the tone woods found on Eastman acoustics..I just bought this AC822, with the Englemann spruce top, and I find it very pleasing, and complex sounding..very responsive to fingerstyle playing....does Eastman use top quality woods?  I saw some specs saying it has AAA Englemann...now, not ever having owned an Englemann guitar before, I'm impressed and wondering if it really has a high grade like that...I know my E8 OM has sitka that looks and sounds incredible......so I was wondering if Eastman uses high end cuts of tone woods....
