Just bought the E6 D that has the Herringbone trim and Zigzag backstrip from La guitar.
Talked to Ted (the other Ted) and he said that he talked to Eastman and that they had decided that they were not going to make that standard so I will have a "one off".
Awesome- can't wait to get it.
Well, this should shut up the goblins in my head for awhile anyway......

Congratulations on your one-off, Ted -- you have a guitar no one else will have!

Oh, how cool is that...??!!! Congrats on your incoming, unique E6D. I really like that Eastman continues to experiment, push into new directions, and send out these one-off guitars. Looking forward to your review, when it arrives.
PS - I moved this into the Acoustic sub-forum.

Congrats! I thought it was pretty cool when I noticed it last weekend. Very cool! And yes, do report back when it arrives. I'm thinking about buying a E6D, E6D-TC , or E10D.

Now I will have to wait for the right E40 OM-TC to come along.
You know- the one with the beautiful top all covered in silk...
And thanks to Sasquatch for pointing out that E6D- I'm not yet familiar enough with the models to have noticed that it was unique.

Wow, really great to get a one of guitar. The e6 is a fantastic guitar to, I played one once and fell in love, but at the time didn't have the funds to purchase. It's definitely on my list for the future though.

I'm right there with you on the E40OM. I want one badly. I'm glad someone on here bought the one off E6D. Like sleigh mentioned, you will now have a guitar that nobody else has unless Eastman made a couple. Very neat.

As it turns out- there was at least two E6D's made with Herringbone trim because there is one for sale at The Mandolin Store in Arizona. (If anyone was feeling left out and was thinking "Dang! I wish I'd bought that")
